Our Leadership
The Academy is governed by an elected Executive Committee, a Board of Trustees, and a Board of Fellows — all drawn from distinguished members across Nigeria.
Executive Committee
Officers are elected at the biennial Annual General Meeting from among qualified, registered, and financially up-to-date members. Each officer holds office for one term of two years. The President must be a Fellow of the Academy (FTAMN).

Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees consists of five Trustees nominated by the Executive Committee and approved by the Annual General Meeting from among Fellows of the Academy. At least two Trustees must come from outside academia.
The Board of Trustees are the custodians of the Academy's assets and are responsible for conflict resolution within the Academy.
Board of Fellows
The Board of Fellows is an advisory body to the Academy. It advises the Executive Committee on adherence to high scholarship standards and educational activities. The Board meets at least twice yearly, either physically or virtually.
The Board of Fellows is a specific governance committee of selected Fellows — distinct from the general Fellowship membership of the Academy. Its officers include a Chairman, a Secretary, and the Academy President as an Ex-Officio member.
Publications Committee
The Publications Committee is chaired by the Editor-in-Chief and includes the Publicity Secretary, the Business Manager, and three Assistant Editors. Members are appointed for a two-year term, renewable once.
The Publications Committee is responsible for the regular publication of the Academy's journal (NAMJ) and all other Academy publications, including Conference Proceedings and the TAMN Newsletter.
